Taking Charge.
House Committee Member
I served on my residence's house committee.
I was responsible for the finance, events and catering portfolios.
The finance portfolio consisted of managing the residence's funds and working with other house committee members to ensure that portfolio spending aligned with the House's values.
Connect/Vensters is a large-scale production in which newcomers participate. I was responsible for managing my residence's participation in this event.
The catering portfolio required me to act as a liaison between the residents and the catering staff. It was my responsibility to ensure that the catering for formal and informal events was provided while balancing the sustainability of the catering company and the ever-empty wallets of students.

Mentor
Award achieved 2
I mentored younger students and facilitated their transition to university life. This entailed helping them find their way to classes, answering their questions or even being available for a conversation when they feel homesick and overwhelmed by university.
