• Head of the Representative Council of Learners 2017

Acted as a liaison between faculty, governing body and students.

• Chairperson of the school’s chapter of the Youth Citizens Action Programme (YCAP)

YCAP was an outreach programme and competition amongst schools in the King Cetshwayo district. The chapter was responsible for identifying an issue that we felt was affecting the school or the community in which our school is situated.
We chose vandalism & littering. To combat it, we used donations from various donors to buy trash cans for areas such as parks, sports grounds and such in and around the school. We encouraged students to pick up trash every other weekend and gave a t-shirt for the best performer (measured by area covered).
