• Conducting end-to-end audits (risk assessment, planning, execution and finalisation) for excisable
products (carbon tax, wine, spirits, diesel refunds etc) under the Customs and Excise Act, assessing
compliance for 30+ high- and low-risk clients annually recovering and raising 30 million+ in cash and
non-cash revenue.
• Detecting and managing non-compliance and to assuring revenue through compliance audits and
appropriate enforcement action at registered and licensed Excise clients.
• Drafting and servicing of PAJA complaint(s), Letters of Engagement, Intent and/or
Assessment/Demand, correspondence with clients, processing of Tariff/Valuation submissions and
any other administrative action related to the control of the business of the registrant/licensee.
• Apply ISA principles to conduct valid audit tests, ensuring the audit is executed accordingly.
• Assist registrant/licensee with queries to ensure voluntary compliance and making it easy for them
to comply.
