During my time at BDO London as an audit trainee, I have developed a strong foundation in both technical and interpersonal skills. On the technical side, I have gained hands-on experience auditing key financial statement areas including cash, expenses, payroll, share capital, and accrued income—enhancing my analytical thinking, attention to detail, and understanding of audit methodology and financial reporting standards. Beyond technical proficiency, I have strengthened essential soft skills such as adaptability and effective communication, particularly while working with diverse teams across different engagements. Collaborating in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines has taught me to be agile, proactive, and solutions-oriented. I’ve also learned to communicate clearly and professionally with both colleagues and clients, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the audit process. This blend of hard and soft skills has enabled me to contribute meaningfully while continuing to learn and grow in a professional setting
