School Leadership.
Taking Charge.
Head Boy: 2015
Awards: Head Boy (Golden Medal) Award - for role as head boy during 2015
Being Head Boy of Paul Roos entailed leading, managing, listening, acting as an example, and preparing with a group of student council members throughout the year (and throughout my entire high school career).
The role gave me many opportunities to grow and learn, from speaking publicly to being part of leadership programs such as the "Die Burger Jeugleierskonferensie" where I had the chance to meet so many like-minded leaders from across the country.
Most of all, I had the chance to network and meet so many new people.
My biggest strength is in working in team environments, meeting people and helping bring people together. I strive to bring people up with me and to inspire people around me in doing that.
As Head Boy I had the opportunity to do this on many occasions, and this (more than any recognition or special badge) is what was (and still is) most important to me!
Roles:
-Student council meetings
-Public speaking
-Managing student council projects (maintenance, social, sports events, any new initiatives)
-Governing body meetings
