Participated in the speakers circle and Inner circle throughout my time in high school where I was awarded half colours for public speaking. Speakers circle involves being picked by teachers to participate in the program based off public speaking in class in grade 8. Participated in this in grade 9 and 10 before moving to Inner circle in grade 11 and 12. Won the best prepared speech in grade 12 at the final event for the year.

Prefect - Deputy head of house
Awards: Apart from being a prefect I was captain of numerous sports teams throughout my time in high school. Additionally, was elected as 1 of 4 convenors for the class of 2020 by my peers whereby I am in charge of organizing old boy events, maintaining contact with my year, attending old boy meetings on behalf of the class and representing the year. Finally, was awarded house colours for leadership.
Selected as 1 of 25 prefects in matric out of a class of 130. My role was one of five house prefects whereby we were in charge for maintaining the cleanliness, operation and respect of the house, showing potential students and parents around campus, reprimanding fellow peers and younger grades for poor behaviour including the ability of handing out marks (form of punishment), being in charge of detention to ensure appropriate running, attend meetings with teachers and fellow prefects to discuss various matters and run house chapel. Responsibilities included duties such as inspecting each grade before breakfast and bedtime, role call, staying in on weekends to look after termly boarders, running the prep schedule, dealing with any issues such as bullying and not following traditions, monitoring break and lunch cleanup, organizing teams for inter-house competitions and being a voice to which students could come to.
