As the Secretary of the Representative Council of Learners, I am responsible for maintaining clear and accurate records of all council meetings, ensuring effective communication between council members and the student body, and assisting with administrative tasks to support the council's work. My role involves providing administrative support, organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and recording meeting minutes.
Responsibilities:
-Minute-Taking: Accurately recording the minutes of all council meetings, ensuring that key decisions and discussions are documented and accessible for future reference.
-Agenda Preparation: Collaborating with the council president and other members to prepare meeting agendas, ensuring that all relevant topics are included and that the meeting runs efficiently.
-Correspondence Management: Managing communication between the council and other students, staff, or external parties, including sending invitations, reminders, and updates regarding meetings and events.
-Record Keeping: Organizing and maintaining all records, documents, and correspondence related to council activities, ensuring that files are easily accessible and up to date.
-Assisting in Event Planning: Providing administrative support in the planning and organization of student activities, initiatives, and campaigns organized by the RCL.
-Liaising with School Administration: Acting as a communication link between the council and the school administration, ensuring that students' concerns and ideas are effectively conveyed and addressed.
-Supporting Council Members: Providing logistical and administrative support to the council president and other members, ensuring they have the resources and information they need to fulfill their responsibilities.
By managing these tasks, I help ensure that the RCL operates smoothly, stays organized, and remains connected with the student body to effectively advocate for their needs and interests.
Deputy Head of House
As the Deputy Head of House, my role is to support the Head of House in overseeing the well-being and activities of our house members. I assist in fostering a sense of community, ensuring that our house maintains high standards in both academic and extracurricular activities. I act as a liaison between students, teachers, and house leadership, and step in for the Head of House when necessary.
Responsibilities:
-Supporting the Head of House: Assisting the Head of House in organizing and leading house activities, events, and initiatives. Ensuring that house objectives are met and that the house spirit is maintained.
-House Leadership: Helping manage the day-to-day running of the house and overseeing the involvement of house members in school activities and competitions.
-Student Well-being: Monitoring the well-being of house members and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. Providing support and guidance where necessary, and ensuring a positive environment within the house.
-Communication: Acting as a communication channel between the Head of House, students, and staff. Ensuring that information is relayed effectively and that students' voices are heard.
-Organizing Events: Assisting in the planning and coordination of house events, such as sports days, social activities, and fundraisers, ensuring they align with the house's goals and values.
-Representing the House: Representing the house at school events and meetings when the Head of House is unavailable. Playing an active role in promoting house pride and motivating students to participate in house activities.
-Promoting House Spirit: Encouraging a sense of unity and friendly competition within the house. Leading by example and inspiring fellow students to contribute positively to the house’s culture.
-Mentoring House Members: Offering mentorship and guidance to junior members of the house, helping them integrate into the house and school community.
By carrying out these responsibilities, I ensure that our house remains a supportive, competitive, and engaged group of students, committed to achieving our goals and fostering a strong sense of camaraderie.

Overall, my tutoring experience has not only allowed me to help students achieve their academic goals but has also developed a range of skills that are valuable in any professional setting, such as communication, adaptability, problem-solving, and time management.
