As a SAICA Audit Trainee at EY, I performed audit procedures in line with SAICA standards and EY audit methodology, including planning, executing, and documenting audit work for various clients. My duties included testing internal controls, performing substantive audit procedures, preparing working papers, analyzing financial information, and identifying audit risks. I also collaborated with team members and clients to obtain audit evidence, supported the preparation of audit reports, and upheld professional ethics, quality, and compliance throughout the audit process.
