As a stock taker, I played a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring efficient operations within a warehouse setting. My day-to-day tasks primarily involved counting and recording stock levels, both physically and electronically. I utilized various tools and systems to track inventory movements, update databases, and identify discrepancies between recorded and actual stock levels. Attention to detail is of prime importance, as I was required to identify damaged or obsolete items, as well as monitor inventory turnover rates to optimise stock replenishment. Communication skills are also essential, as I often collaborated with the different department managers. During my time at Global, I gained a deep understanding of inventory management systems, data analysis, and the importance of precision in inventory systems. I feel that through my work experience I gained skills in data accuracy, organisation, and teamwork.
