As a Finance Learner at Allergan Aesthetics, I was responsible for supporting both Accounts Receivable and FP&A functions, which exposed me to a broad spectrum of finance operations. My daily tasks included opening and maintaining customer accounts, processing master data changes, conducting credit checks, and drafting credit limit motivation letters for management approval. I also assisted in preparing flash sales reports, supporting EMEA and SSA reporting requirements, and collaborating with the demand planner on reconciliations and forecast inputs. These responsibilities allowed me to gain practical exposure to financial systems such as SAP, Longview, Cube, and Power BI, while ensuring compliance with internal controls through audit checks and accurate documentation.

Through this role, I developed strong technical skills in financial reporting, credit management, and data analysis while also strengthening soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. I learned how finance integrates with other functions like sales and demand planning, and how accurate reporting and compliance contribute to strategic decision-making in a multinational environment. The experience enhanced my attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple deliverables, while deepening my understanding of risk management, stakeholder engagement, and the importance of aligning local operations with global reporting standards.
