Giving back.

Animal outreach

Was deputy head of my schools animal outreach programme, in which we raised funds for stray animals that needed blankets and food.
Was a volunteer at the SPCA for 2 years

Outreach Area 2

On every Monday from grade 8-12, I would help out 1-3 children from under underprivileged schools do their homework for the week ( Maths and English)

I was involved with reviewing tax returns, inputting transactions into Pastel, formatting and filling in financial statements, meetings with clients in which I would discuss their transactions and explain why things are being done the way they are. I was briefly taught how to use the Caseware software, and I successfully used it to complete a set of financial statements.

I was a mentor at Dagbreek men's residence, in my role, I had 9 mentees that I had to 'welcome' to university and make sure that their transition into this new period of their life was smooth and that they could all adjust suitably. This role involved holding mental health meetings once a week and constant check ups on all of my mentees.
