I was a prefect of both my school and my residence. My prefect portfolio involved the event planning of our school's birthday. As a prefect we had to ensure that the school was a safe environment, so we had duties to walk around on the school grounds and settle disputes. The leadership roles I had involved a lot of teamwork, communication, and delegation. My responsibility was to be a voice for my fellow students, to be a channel through which they could offer input into the schooling system, as well as dealing with smaller complaints. As a prefect of my high school house (home residence) I was more involved with planning and organizing or events and functions as well as being on the spirit committee to keep everyone dedicated to the house.
