Self Employed
2022-12-31 - Present
On 1 January 2023, I bravely decided to relocate to Cape Town to pursue the coursework part of my master’s degree. During this time, I attended multiple workshops and conferences to build on the knowledge gained during my articles. I registered as an AGA(SA) and tax practitioner. I assist clients with preparing individual tax returns on SARS and giving advice. I am currently co-executor of my late father’s estate, which has broadened my experience with estate duty and the administration of estates.

Portfolio Manager at UCT Investment Society
I am the portfolio manager for the JSE Mid/Large Cap portfolio. This is a mock fund within the investment society to teach students about investing. I have five analysts who worked for my portfolio; we have weekly meetings to discuss various companies to invest in, which I lead. This helped to improve my presentation, decision-making, communication, reviewing and report-writing skills.
