I was a member of the Student Representative Council. I had been tasked with patrolling the school and assisting the school with event organisation such as interschools.

Along with the cricket leadership group - I assisted Swartland High School with a community sports outreach programme. We provided coaching to children from a local underprivileged community.

I interned at PWC where I participated in basic audit procedures. We performed substantive tests with regards to the bank account. I assisted with the inspection of a bank reconciliation. It was an insightful course where I learnt how to communicate and present myself in a professional environment.

BDO UK LLP

2024-2-1 - Present

I joined as an audit trainee at BDO London. I assisted on audits in the Banking and Alternative Finance sector and the Asset Management and Capital Markets sector. I assisted in the planning phase of the audit by compiling a risk and response document (ISA315) and also in the execution phase by performing substantive tests of detail.

I also learnt how to work in a professional team as well as communication with people from diverse backgrounds due to the diverse nature of London and BDO London.
