Exposure to primary group team (High Performing Team) and component team of one of the largest gold producers in the world, listed on the NYSE, JSE, ASX and GSE. Therefore, I have exposure to a mix of ISA and PCAOB audit principles which were applied during the audit in line with IFRS, ISAs, PCAOB (SOX) and SEC Compliance.
- Exposure to the clients annual reporting suite. The duties which were involved include ensuring the financial
statements were in line with IFRS and the 20-F reports were compliant with the SEC.
- Supervisor on the Group and South African Corporate component team and ensured progress deadlines and milestones were tracked and subsequently met.
- Supervisor on an audit team with 12 Article clerks.
- Assist with the training of junior staff members.
- Prepared presentations and other documentation, which was presented directly to the Audit Committee, as well as client executives.
- Exposure to auditing Group Share based payments and performed control testing over the Share Based payments.
- Consulted with lawyers to audit legal opinions.
- Exposure to auditing provisions, derivatives and guarantees. Consulted with Actuaries for valuations on derivatives and guarantees.
- Audit experience in mining, energy, natural resources, and Retail.
- Conducted performance reviews and feedback sessions with juniors and lead upward feedback. This included identifying and bridging the needs of management and juniors of a team consisting of over twenty people.

Soft skills developed during my training contract include leadership, effective communication, teamwork, time management and adaptability.

Hard skills developed during my training contract include project management, data analysis, internal control evaluation and continuous learning.
