During my internship at Sanlam Private Wealth in Durban, I actively participated in the investment management process, applying economic theory to assess market trends and their implications on investment strategies. I played a key role in client on-boarding, evaluating clients' risk appetite and capacity for loss to tailor suitable investment approaches. My responsibilities also included supporting risk management activities and contributing to the development of risk mitigation plans. I handled various administrative tasks to ensure precise documentation and record-keeping. Additionally, I was involved in client relationship management, where I prepared detailed investment proposals and assisted in the implementation of model portfolios. Through close collaboration with senior team members, I contributed to the development and presentation of customised investment strategies, enhancing my analytical and client engagement skills.
