Throughout my high school career, I worked closely with the school marketing department. I took drone and video footage to create dynamic videos for school events. This was a passion of mine at first, that then evolved into an official role for the school.

As a group, we acted as intermediaries between the students and school officials. Amongst traveling in 2024, I have taken time to complete some short qualifications:
1. Teaching English to Foreign Language (TEFL)
This online interactive course humbled me, as I learnt the importance of patience (specifically when teaching students with limited English knowledge). I thoroughly enjoyed this course, as it was completely different from my academic experience studying finance at Stellenbosch University.
2. Yoga Teacher Training
With a passion for yoga, I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training course in Indonesia. This experience not only exacerbated my passion for yoga, but also taught me the diligence to stick to strict schedules, the ability to concentrate for approximately 10 hours a day and the importance of mental strength. I am proud of this accomplishment and am now a certified yoga instructor.
3. Volunteering
During my travels, I volunteered at a turtle sanctuary in a rural town in Indonesia. This ignited my passion for volunteering and opened my eyes to the importance of taking the time to give back. I interacted with other volunteers from all over the world and made meaningful connections with many different types of people. This taught me to be compassionate about what I believe in, and understand how much growth comes from putting others needs before yours.
OTHER:
In 2022, I was a hostess at a December Christmas festival in my hometown, Ballito KZN. My job was to encourage people to enter the festival and provide information about the offerings. This was an interesting experience, as I learnt the power of persuasive energy, "on-your-feet" communication and the importance of first impressions.
