I ran weekly meetings for my team of prefects as well as weekly school assemblies.
I had to lead my grade as well as the grades below me on school spirit, acceptable behaviour and camaraderie.

From 2018-2022 I used to run my own thrift shop online and at weekend markets.
In my matric year I noticed that thrift fashion was becoming a trend and decided to create my own shop as I had a passion for sustainability and getting people to be more mindful about their consumerism.
Running this thrift store taught me sales and marketing skills, sourcing inventory and the management thereof, event management with monthly markets and so much more. I really enjoyed having this side hustle and put all my profits to a savings that helped me take my career break in 2024!

Lessons in Conservation (NPO)

This was a volunteer position for a NPO during my last two years at university.
I mainly assisted with the financial side of the NPO which was setting up yearly and quarterly budgets for the different teams; assisting with applications for an s18A certificate and managing fundraising events.
I also took part in the operations of teaching children about conservation in Mamelodi.

Skills I learnt were tutoring and teaching skills; working with children; budgeting and fundraising.
